Intuit hasn't announced an exact date. It releases TurboTax in stages, and last year's desktop software arrived in early November. Here's the pattern TurboTax 2026 is most likely to follow:

TurboTax 2025 or TurboTax 2026: Which Do You Need?
TurboTax is named for the tax year it covers. TurboTax 2026 is for your 2026 return, the one you file in early 2027. If you're still finishing a 2025 return (extended returns are due October 15, 2026), you need TurboTax 2025, which is available now.
How Much Will TurboTax 2026 Cost?
Intuit has posted its desktop list prices for tax year 2026:

TurboTax 2026 System Requirements: Windows 11 or macOS Sequoia
Intuit says TurboTax 2026 requires Windows 11 (64-bit) or macOS Sequoia 15 or later. It won't install on Windows 10, and Mac users still on macOS Sonoma 14 will need to update first.
